Multiple people injured after floor collapsed at NH wedding venue

A wedding at the Preserve at Chocorua in Tamworth, New Hampshire turned chaotic when a floor collapsed, sending nearly 70 of the 144 guests into the basement.

Six adults were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and multiple others received treatment on-site, while first responders and guests helped those trapped under debris.

The incident occurred on March 21 in the venue’s Sap House building, which may have been over capacity at the time.

Fire and state investigators are conducting a joint probe into the collapse, seeking information from anyone who may help, USA Today has reported.

The Preserve at Chocorua is a historic 26-acre retreat featuring a farmhouse, barn, and Maple Sugar shack used for events.
