Dyson introduces new robot vacuum with artificial intelligence

Dyson has launched its new Spot+Scrub AI robot vacuum, a premium device priced at about $1,199 that combines vacuuming and mopping with AI-powered cleaning.

The system uses a camera and onboard processing to detect over 100 types of objects and automatically adjust suction and cleaning behavior based on the mess.

It features a stain-detection system with angled green light to reveal hidden debris, along with a self-cleaning wet roller that uses fresh and heated water to avoid spreading dirt.

The robot can switch between hard floors and carpets by lifting the mop roller and increasing suction when needed, while LiDAR navigation helps it map and move around a home, AL.com has reported.

A docking station empties debris for up to 100 days and supports app-based controls like scheduling, room targeting, and no-go zones.
