Google is now letting users in the US change their Gmail address

Google has begun rolling out a feature that allows users in the U.S. to change their Gmail address without losing their data or starting a new account.

Users can update their email through Google Account settings, and the process preserves existing emails while keeping the old address as an alternate login.

The change can only be made once every 12 months, and the new address cannot be deleted during that period.

The feature is being introduced gradually, so not all users will have immediate access, Tech Crunch has reported.

It was previously tested in some Hindi-speaking regions before expanding more broadly.
