Activist’s group accused of ‘terrorist attack’ in collision with Antarctic krill trawler

A vessel operated by the Captain Paul Watson Foundation collided with a Norwegian krill fishing ship in Antarctic waters, alarming authorities and the company involved.

The Norwegian firm, Aker BioMarine, called the incident a “terrorist attack,” saying it endangered the crew and sensitive marine ecosystems.

Video footage shows the activist ship approaching and striking the fishing vessel, narrowly missing a diesel tank.

No injuries were reported, but legal action is expected and authorities have been notified, the AP has reported.

The clash highlights growing tensions over krill fishing, a key environmental and commercial issue in Antarctica.
