He argued that the war and operations like reopening the Strait of Hormuz were decisions made by the U.S. and should not be imposed on other nations.

Donald Trump, in turn, urged allies to take more responsibility in the conflict and made additional criticisms of NATO, including calling it a “paper tiger,” The Telegraph has reported.

Macron emphasized the need for de-escalation, diplomacy, and negotiations rather than continued military action.
