Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents shot a man during a vehicle stop in Patterson, California, while attempting to arrest Carlos Ivan Mendoza Hernandez.

ICE officials said Hernandez allegedly tried to run over an officer with his vehicle, prompting agents to fire defensive shots, though details remain limited.

Hernandez was hospitalized, and his condition has not been disclosed by local authorities.

Dashcam footage reportedly shows the vehicle reversing and then moving forward toward officers before fleeing the scene, The Guardian has reported.
