Swalwell campaign rejects ‘outrageous’ allegations of sexual misconduct

California gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell and his campaign denied allegations of sexual misconduct circulated by political media personality Cheyenne Hunt.

A campaign spokesperson called the claims false and politically motivated, saying they were spread shortly before the election by opponents and aligned groups.

Hunt, who leads a youth political organization, alleged on social media that Swalwell had a history of making advances toward women on his staff and that others had similar experiences.

She also said she is working with multiple women who are preparing to share their accounts, though she has not provided names or specific details, Fox News has reported.

Additional Democratic figures, including strategist Bhavik Lathia, have urged that the allegations be taken seriously while the campaign maintains there is no record of ethics complaints or NDAs tied to staff.
