Seven people were shot, including one killed, during a shooting at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Union Township, New Jersey, on Saturday night.
Authorities said the incident, which is being investigated, does not appear to be random and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Witnesses described panic as masked individuals reportedly entered the restaurant and opened fire, sending patrons and employees scrambling for safety.
Officials and the governor expressed condolences while law enforcement continues to investigate and no arrests have been made, The Guardian has reported.
The attack has been recorded as the 100th mass shooting in the U.S. this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive.
