According to Swedish TV, a roller coaster derailment in Stockholm on Sunday resulted in one fatality and several injuries.

Officials from the Grona Lund amusement park informed public broadcaster SVT that one of the carriages on the Jetline roller coaster derailed, causing individuals to fall to the ground, KSLTV5 reported.

Park spokeswoman Annika Troselius expressed deep sorrow, stating, “It is an incredibly tragic and shocking incident. Regrettably, we have received information that one person has been killed and many others are injured.”

The police reported that seven individuals, including both children and adults, were admitted to the hospital for treatment.

To aid rescue efforts, the amusement park was evacuated.

Jenny Lagerstedt, an SVT reporter who was queuing for another ride, observed that the derailed carriage was at a significant height.
