Atlanta prosecutor is jailed for stealing $15m of Covid funds

Shelitha Robertson, a former assistant city attorney of Atlanta and life advice podcaster, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for fraudulently securing about $15 million in COVID relief loans.

Robertson, 62, used the funds for lavish purchases, including a 10-carat diamond ring, a Rolls Royce, and a motorbike.

Despite appearing on her daughter’s “Mommy & Me” podcast to give advice on hard work and integrity, she obtained the money through deceptive means.

Robertson submitted multiple false loan applications under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), claiming she needed the money to support four businesses with over 400 employees, the Daily Mail has reported.

Court documents revealed that these claims were fabricated to secure large PPP loans intended for genuine businesses affected by the pandemic.
