One person was critically injured in a stabbing at Miami International Airport, police say

A stabbing at Miami International Airport late Saturday left one person critically injured and led to the evacuation of Concourses H and J.

The Miami-Dade Police Department reported that the male suspect attacked the victim on the fourth floor of Terminal J around 11:30 p.m. before attempting to throw her over a railing.

The victim managed to escape to the third floor, where police found her.

The suspect was arrested, and a knife was recovered. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition, CNN has reported.

Airport operations resumed after rescreening passengers, and authorities confirmed there was no active shooter despite initial false reports.
