A gunman opened fire inside a Las Vegas Athletic Club on Friday, killing one person and injuring two others.

Police shot the suspect as he tried to flee and later confirmed he died at the hospital.

The motive remains unknown.

The victim killed was identified as longtime gym employee Edgar Quinonez, NBC News has reported.

The gym is temporarily closed as the investigation continues.
