Tucker Carlson and Sen. Ted Cruz clashed in a tense interview over Cruz’s support for Trump and his stance on Iran amid rising U.S.-Israel tensions with the country.

Carlson grilled Cruz on basic facts about Iran, such as its population and ethnic makeup, accusing him of ignorance while advocating regime change.

The exchange escalated into shouting, with Carlson questioning Cruz’s sincerity about Iran threatening Trump, and Cruz defending ongoing U.S. support for Israeli military strikes, The Hill has reported.

Carlson, a critic of Middle East intervention, has warned Trump against escalation, while Trump dismissed Carlson’s views and reaffirmed his hardline position on Iran.
