India’s National Investigating Agency arrested Amir Rashid Ali from Indian-controlled Kashmir on suspicion of helping a suicide bomber carry out a deadly car explosion in New Delhi.
The blast near the Red Fort on Monday killed 10 people and injured 32, with Umar Un Nabi, a Kashmiri doctor, identified as the suspected driver and suicide bomber.
The attack followed the dismantling of a suspected militant cell in Kashmir, which led to multiple arrests and the seizure of bomb-making materials.
As part of the investigation, Indian authorities conducted raids across Kashmir, detaining hundreds and questioning thousands, ABC News has reported.
In a related incident, explosives confiscated from Faridabad detonated in Srinagar, killing nine people and injuring 32.
