A group of alleged Jeffrey Epstein victims accused the Department of Justice of violating the law in its partial release of Epstein-related investigation files, citing excessive redactions and withheld documents.
Although Congress imposed a deadline for full disclosure, the DOJ released only a portion of the records and acknowledged more materials remain under review.
The women said victim identities were improperly left unredacted, while key materials such as financial records and grand jury documents were fully blacked out or missing.
Attorneys for Epstein survivors reported that some sensitive documents revealing victim names were posted and later temporarily removed after complaints, ABC News has reported.
The DOJ said it is continuing to review and re-release materials with appropriate redactions, arguing the delays are necessary to protect victims’ identities.
