Donald Trump and Keir Starmer spoke as tensions escalated in the Middle East, focusing on reopening the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil shipments.
The waterway has been blocked by Iran following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Feb. 28, triggering a widening regional conflict.
Both leaders agreed that reopening the strait is critical for global energy stability and pledged to stay in contact.
Trump also issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran, warning of further military action if the route is not reopened, Fox News has reported.
The call may signal easing tensions between Trump and Starmer, who had previously clashed over the U.K.’s role in the conflict.
