According to a report, a judge has ordered Former Vice President Mike Pence to testify in connection with the January 6 investigation, but has also recognized, to some extent, his entitlement to immunity on certain matters because of his role as President of the Senate on that day.

Citing an anonymous source, Politico’s Kyle Cheney wrote that  United States District Court for the District of Columbia Chief Judge James Boasberg agreed, “at least in part, with Pence’s legal team that the former vice president enjoys immunity from testifying about certain topics due to his role as president of the Senate on Jan. 6, 2021.”

Two anonymous sources cited by Jill Colvin and Eric Tucker of The Associated Press have reported that on January 6, 2021, Mike Pence would not be required to respond to inquiries about his conduct, Breitbart News reported.

In January, Special Counsel Jack Smith issued a subpoena to Pence, but the former Vice President argued that the subpoena was unconstitutional.
