A taxi jumped a curb near Herald Square in Manhattan on Christmas, striking six pedestrians, including a 9-year-old boy and his mother visiting from Australia.

Three people were hospitalized but are expected to survive, while three others declined medical attention.

Authorities suspect the 58-year-old driver may have suffered a medical episode, NBC News has reported.
