Seattle police are investigating a homicide after a man in his early 20s was found dead from gunshot wounds inside the Growler Guys business in the Lake City neighborhood on Saturday morning.

Employees discovered the victim, who worked there, when opening the restaurant around 9 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters.

Authorities have not yet determined when the shooting occurred or what led to it, and no suspect has been identified.

Detectives are processing the scene and focusing their investigation on the business while the owners cooperate with police, KATU 2 ABC News has reported.

The victim has been remembered by friends and coworkers as a kind, upbeat young man as the community mourns his death.
