Sisters, friend charged in Texas mom’s stabbing death

Three women have been charged with murder after a 32-year-old mother of five, Caroline Peña, was stabbed multiple times in broad daylight in Del Rio, Texas, and later died from her injuries.

Police said the attack occurred at a busy intersection, and the victim was rushed to hospitals in Del Rio and San Antonio before succumbing to her wounds.

Investigators identified Kitty Mia Diaz, Amaya Cookie Diaz, and Kyandra Renee Faz as suspects after reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements, leading to their arrests.

Authorities have not released a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing as additional charges are considered, Fox News has reported.

The victim is being remembered by family and friends as a devoted mother who was known for her generosity and strength.
