Paramedics responded to a ‘cardiac arrest’ at Mitch McConnell’s home on day of hospitalization

Police scanner audio suggests paramedics performed CPR on an individual experiencing cardiac arrest at a known address for Mitch McConnell on the same day his office announced he had been hospitalized.

McConnell’s office has not confirmed details of his condition or whether he remains in the hospital, but said he is recovering and still working with staff on Senate business.

The senator, 84, has faced multiple health issues in recent years, including prior hospitalizations and injuries from falls.

He has not been seen publicly since his hospitalization was announced, and officials have provided limited updates, NBC News has reported.

McConnell, a longtime Senate leader who stepped down from leadership earlier this year, is not seeking re-election.
