Bombshell memo shows Biden planned to leave Trump with even more massive immigration crisis

A newly revealed memo from the final days of the Biden administration outlined plans that could have expanded Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to more than 3 million noncitizens.

The memo suggested using TPS protections to shield vulnerable populations from potential deportations under President Donald Trump’s planned immigration policies.

Senator Eric Schmitt criticized the proposal, calling it an attempt to bypass voters’ wishes and expand immigration protections.

The document noted that previous Trump efforts to end TPS for several countries had been blocked by court challenges, Fox News has reported.

Although the broader expansion was not carried out, Biden later extended protections for nearly 1 million people before leaving office.
