A man was arrested outside Trump National Golf Club in Southern California after federal agents said he was found acting suspiciously while recording security preparations ahead of President Donald Trump’s visit.

Investigators later found weapons-related items at his home, including an illegally modified rifle, body armor, high-capacity magazines, and notebooks containing what authorities called concerning statements.

Officials said there is no evidence the suspect was planning an attack, but the FBI and Secret Service are continuing their investigation.

The suspect, identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele, pleaded not guilty to multiple weapons charges and was ordered to stay away from the golf club, CNN has reported.

He also faces a federal charge related to possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle, which could carry up to 10 years in prison.
