Russia has threatened to strike British military targets inside and outside Ukraine if Kyiv continues using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles against targets inside Russia. 

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused Britain of escalating the conflict and warned that Moscow could respond with what she described as “catastrophic consequences.” 

The warning follows Britain’s decision to give Ukraine access to technology that could allow it to produce Storm Shadow missiles domestically, while France has also approved a similar technology transfer. 

Russia has accused Ukraine of recently using British-made missiles to strike targets in Russian-controlled Donetsk, including an area where civilians were reportedly injured, Fox News has reported.

The threats have further increased tensions between Russia and the UK as Western military support for Ukraine expands and Kyiv carries out more long-range attacks against Russian territory.
