Victim in Times Square stabbing and shooting identified as Bank of America employee

A woman armed with two knives fatally stabbed 32-year-old Erin Piacenti and wounded a 68-year-old man in an apparently unprovoked attack in Times Square.

Police identified the suspect as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros of Queens, who reportedly attacked the victims within about 20 seconds.

Officers ordered Cisneros several times to drop the knives, but she allegedly threatened them and continued advancing toward them.

After Tasers were reportedly ineffective, two officers fired their weapons, killing Cisneros at the scene, CBS News has reported.

Piacenti, who worked for Bank of America, later died at a hospital, while the male victim remained hospitalized in stable condition as police continued investigating the attack.
