Officials identify victims killed, officers injured in Minneapolis apartment shooting

Officials have identified two civilians killed in a Minneapolis apartment shooting as 63-year-old Dale Henry Spry and 61-year-old Muse A. Afrah.

The gunman, 35-year-old Carlton Neal Johnson II, also died after exchanging gunfire with police.

Two Minneapolis police officers, Joseph Michnowski and Yahye Ahmed, were injured in the shooting, with Ahmed released from the hospital and Michnowski remaining hospitalized.

The shooting began during a child-custody exchange involving a woman who had previously been in a relationship with Johnson, who allegedly shot her before entering the apartment building, Fox News has reported.

Investigators are still working to determine whether Johnson specifically targeted the victims, while authorities continue examining the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack.
