A Florida woman, Lindsey Isaacs, spent 13 days in jail after police mistakenly connected her black Dodge Durango to a deadly crash using Flock license-plate camera data.

The October 2025 crash killed three people, and investigators identified Isaacs’ vehicle after a Flock camera recorded it near the crash site shortly before the collision.

However, her SUV showed no significant crash damage, and other evidence indicated the suspect vehicle was a maroon Dodge Durango rather than Isaacs’ black one.

Prosecutors eventually dropped all eight felony charges against Isaacs, and authorities arrested another woman who they allege was responsible for the crash, Fox News has reported.

Isaacs has since filed a federal civil rights lawsuit, raising concerns about investigators relying too heavily on automated surveillance data when making criminal accusations.
