Russian attacks across Ukraine killed at least 15 people and injured dozens more, according to Ukrainian officials.

Strikes hit cities including Pavlohrad, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Sumy, as well as a civilian vessel near Odesa.

Ukraine responded with a drone attack on industrial facilities in Russia’s Arctic Yamal-Nenets region, more than 3,000 kilometers from Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces said they struck two major gas-processing plants, marking one of their deepest attacks inside Russia since the full-scale war began, Al-Jazeera has reported.

The escalation came as Canada announced $260 million in support for Ukraine’s air defenses and energy infrastructure during President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit.
