A fire at a Starlink satellite communications station in central Poland is being investigated after the country’s digital affairs minister called it possible Russian sabotage.

Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said the blaze may have been intended to disrupt internet access to institutions, including the Ukrainian military, and described it as a potential form of hybrid warfare.

The fire damaged the station’s power infrastructure, but firefighters quickly brought it under control, and no one was injured.

Polish police said it was too early to determine whether the fire was deliberate, noting that investigators were considering possibilities ranging from arson to an electrical short circuit, Euro News has reported.

Poland has previously accused Russia of sabotage and other hybrid attacks, while Moscow has denied involvement in such incidents.
