On Thursday, a large group of demonstrators gathered at the Tennessee State Capitol to demand stronger gun control measures in response to the recent school shooting that occurred earlier this week.
As lawmakers convened for their session, protesters assembled outside the Capitol building to voice their concerns, the Daily Caller reported.
The shooting, carried out by Audrey Hale, a 28-year-old transgender individual, resulted in the deaths of three adults and three nine-year-old children at a Christian elementary school.
One of the organizers of the protest expressed their hope that their efforts would help bring about change in gun control policy.
The Capitol was flooded with protesters who filled the hallways and ultimately managed to reach the legislative session chambers.
A video captured the scene of a large group of protesters shouting and attempting to push past a group of troopers, as reported by the Daily Caller.
One male protester forcefully made his way through the group and was quickly apprehended by authorities.
However, he was soon released amidst the chants of the crowd, who demanded that he be returned to them.
