The ex-President Donald Trump insisted that his Republican associates in Congress cut off funding for the FBI and the Justice Department.
A day after being charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, Trump took to social media and proclaimed, “Almost every legal and political analyst has said that the unfair and morally disgusting Indictment filed against me yesterday has NO MERIT, and is not even a case.”
“There was no crime,” he said, as reported by Mediaite. “And, anyway, the Statute of Limitations has been violated by many years.”
As discussions persist regarding the potency of the indictment, Trump received a warning yesterday that he might face a gag order if he persists in his criticism of prosecutors handling the case.
Despite this warning, the former President continued his tirade against his adversaries in his speech at Mar-a-Lago, and consequently, his subsequent message on Truth Social fell in line with his recent posts, characterized by his use of capital letters.
