Nine teenagers were injured in a shooting that took place during a large after-party for a prom at a home in Texas, with a second shooting in a nearby city also being investigated for a possible connection.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to the home where around 250 people were partying, and found nine victims with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Eight of the victims were transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital, with at least one being transferred to a hospital in nearby Beaumont, the Associated Press reported.

The second shooting took place in the city of Jasper shortly after the first, and while there were no injuries reported, investigators are exploring a connection between the two incidents due to a common vehicle seen at both locations.

The investigation is ongoing and “people of interest” are being questioned, according to the Sheriff’s Office statement.
