The latest ABC News/Washington Post poll released on Sunday brings unfavorable news for President Joe Biden while indicating positive prospects for his potential 2024 opponent, Donald Trump.

According to the survey, in a hypothetical 2024 general election matchup, the president trails his predecessor by 7 points.

Respondents were questioned regarding their inclination to “definitely” vote for Trump or Biden, “probably” vote for Trump or Biden, or choose someone else or refrain from voting altogether.

Among those who express a definite preference, Trump leads Biden by 36-32.

However, when including those who lean towards a particular candidate, Trump’s advantage expands to 7 points, holding a 45-38 lead over Biden.
