A report by three open-source intelligence analysts suggests that China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is actively developing advanced weapons with the aim of disrupting brain functions and exerting influence over government leaders and entire populations.

These high-technology weapons, as outlined in the report, have the capability to directly attack or manipulate the brain using microwave or other directed energy weapons, whether in handheld guns or larger weapons employing electromagnetic beams.

The report emphasizes that the threat posed by China’s brain warfare weapons is no longer a theoretical concern, particularly prior to or during a conflict, the Washington Times has reported.

The 12-page report titled “Enumerating, Targeting, and Collapsing the Chinese Communist Party’s Neurostrike Program,” obtained by The Washington Times, reveals that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the PLA have emerged as global leaders in the development of neurostrike weapons.

The report highlights that the CCP’s Academy of Military Medical Sciences and 11 associated entities faced sanctions imposed by the U.S. Commerce Department in December 2021.

These sanctions were implemented due to concerns that these entities were employing biotechnology processes to support Chinese military objectives, including the purported brain-control weaponry.

Despite the gravity of this advanced military capability, public studies and discussions regarding these neurostrike weapons have been scarce.

Neurostrike, a military term coined in the report, refers to the deliberate targeting of military personnel or civilians’ brains using non-kinetic technology.

The objective of such weapons is to impair cognitive abilities, reduce situational awareness, inflict long-term neurological damage, and disrupt normal cognitive functions.
