This week, a Florida family will face trial on federal charges in Miami for their involvement in operating an online “church” that promoted a dangerous industrial bleaching agent as a miraculous medical cure.
The Genesis II Church of Health and Healing, based in Bradenton, Manatee County, ran its operations from a residential property.
Using various platforms such as websites, social media, books, and podcasts, the Grenon family propagated their “Miracle Mineral Solution” as a remedy for 95% of known diseases, including HIV/AIDS, autism, Alzheimer’s, leukemia, and even COVID-19.
To distribute the substance, individuals were requested to send a “donation” to the Genesis church, and in return, the product was sent to them via mail, Yahoo News reported.
Prosecutors have revealed that the Grenons generated over $1 million in revenue before federal authorities intervened in 2020, accusing them of distributing an unapproved and misbranded drug.
Despite facing legal consequences, the family members—Mark Grenon and his sons Jonathan Grenon, Joseph Grenon, and Jordan Grenon—persisted in distributing and endorsing the substance, openly defying court orders.
The ingestion of the Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS) has been linked to several deaths, along with instances of severe illness and hospitalizations.
Consequently, authorities hold the Grenons accountable for these harmful consequences.
