All cardinals who will elect new pope arrive in Vatican City ahead of conclave

All 133 eligible cardinals have arrived at the Vatican for the conclave to elect a new pope, set to begin Wednesday in the Sistine Chapel.

The race to succeed Pope Francis, who died last month, is wide open, with some cardinals favoring continuity with his progressive reforms and others pushing for a return to traditional doctrine.

Discussions have highlighted divisions within the Church and the desire for a pope who is close to the people, KSL.com has reported.

While a few candidates like Cardinal Parolin and Cardinal Tagle are seen as possible frontrunners, many cardinals remain undecided.
