Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer criticized President Trump for saying he’s unsure whether he must uphold the Constitution regarding deportations, calling the comment “as un-American as it gets.”

The remark came during a “Meet the Press” interview, where Trump said he was relying on his lawyers and disputed the Supreme Court’s directive to facilitate the return of a wrongfully deported man.

Senator Chris Van Hollen also accused the administration of ignoring court orders, calling the situation a constitutional crisis, The Hill has reported.
