Thomas Massie unfazed by Bill Cassidy’s defeat in Louisiana

Rep. Thomas Massie said he is confident heading into Tuesday’s Republican primary despite President Donald Trump’s repeated attacks against him and endorsement of his challenger, Ed Gallrein.

Massie pointed to strong grassroots fundraising and broad donor support, arguing that recent polling shows him in the lead.

Trump has escalated criticism of Massie on Truth Social, calling for Kentucky voters to oust him in what has become a highly expensive House race.

Massie countered by suggesting Trump-aligned donors are being diverted into efforts to defeat him rather than other projects, Politico has reported.

The contest follows Trump’s recent primary influence in other GOP races, including a win against Sen. Bill Cassidy in Louisiana.
