Police in Elmendorf, a Texas suburb near San Antonio, spent two days dealing with escaped exotic animals, including a kangaroo and a llama.
The kangaroo, named Little Rex, was reported by residents before officers, along with wildlife officials, tracked it down and safely captured it.
Authorities jokingly announced the animal had been “taken into custody” and would no longer be hopping through city streets.
Shortly after, officers also responded to reports involving a loose llama, continuing the unusual string of animal incidents, USA Today has reported.
Police said the back-to-back encounters were coincidental and reassured residents they were not seeking attention.
