Kuwait said an Iranian missile and drone attack struck its international airport, killing one person and injuring dozens, raising concerns that the ceasefire between Iran and the U.S. is weakening.
Iran said the attack was retaliation for recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian military targets, which the U.S. described as self-defense actions.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump rejected reports that Iran had suspended indirect talks with the U.S., saying negotiations were continuing.
Separately, Israel and Lebanon agreed to renew their fragile ceasefire and establish security zones in southern Lebanon where Hezbollah would be prohibited, CBS News has reported.
However, reports of Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon on Thursday highlighted ongoing tensions despite the agreement.
