SpaceX successfully launched its Starship rocket on its 13th test flight from its Texas facility, marking the first major test since the company’s recent IPO.

The rocket’s booster and upper stage completed controlled splashdowns, while the mission successfully deployed 20 new Starlink V3 satellites into orbit.

The larger, more powerful satellites are designed to expand SpaceX’s Starlink network and support future space-based projects.

Although the test showed progress, experts noted the company still faces challenges in achieving full rapid reusability of the spacecraft, CNBC has reported.

SpaceX continues developing Starship for future missions, including returning astronauts to the Moon and eventually traveling to Mars.
