SpaceX set a new record Saturday by launching two Falcon 9 rockets just 38 minutes apart, the shortest time between two orbital flights by the company.

The first rocket launched from Florida and successfully deployed eight satellites for telecommunications company Globalstar.

A second Falcon 9 launched from California for the classified U.S. Space Force USSF-366 mission, with few details publicly available about its payload.

Both rockets successfully landed their first stages, marking the 14th flight for the Globalstar booster and the 18th for the booster used on the military mission, Space.com has reported.

The back-to-back launches brought SpaceX’s total Falcon 9 launches for 2026 to 96, with about three-quarters dedicated to building and expanding the Starlink satellite network.
