Michigan Democrat demands reporters stop asking ‘about Hasan Piker’ ahead of Senate race

Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., told reporters to stop asking her about controversial Twitch streamer Hasan Piker while campaigning for Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed.

Dingell said she did not want to discuss Piker and attempted to shift attention back to El-Sayed’s campaign.

Piker has faced growing criticism over controversial comments, including remarks about Israel and Jewish Americans, while El-Sayed has recently distanced himself from some of Piker’s statements.

Piker’s past campaigning with El-Sayed has become a political issue as Democrats prepare for a competitive Michigan Senate race, Fox News has reported.

The controversy has continued to draw attention to El-Sayed’s associations and could become an issue in the upcoming election.
