SpaceX has completed its final planned Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida, ending a seven-year run of dedicated Starlink missions from the state.

The final mission launched 29 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, marking the 260th Falcon 9 Starlink launch from Florida.

Going forward, SpaceX plans to launch Starlink satellites from Florida using its much larger Starship rocket.

The shift is part of SpaceX’s broader effort to transition from the highly successful Falcon 9 to Starship, which is designed to carry significantly larger payloads and eventually support much higher launch rates, Fox 35 Orlando has reported.

Falcon 9 will continue launching Starlink satellites from California for now, while SpaceX works to make Starship reliable enough to take over more of the company’s launch operations.
