A 17-year-old North Carolina girl, Sarah Lindsey Santiago, has been charged with three counts of murder and conspiracy for allegedly helping with a deadly shooting at a San Diego mosque.

Prosecutors say Santiago agreed to livestream the May 18 attack and later shared the recording and a white-supremacist manifesto written by the two gunmen.

The shooting killed three people at the Islamic Center of San Diego, while the two teenage attackers later died by suicide.

Authorities say the attackers were motivated by extremist beliefs and had also planned attacks against a Jewish temple and a predominantly Black high school, the USA Today has reported.

Santiago, who was arrested in North Carolina, is being prosecuted as an adult and could face life in prison without parole if convicted.
