Dell stock surges on record orders for AI servers

Dell Technologies shares surged after the company reported record demand for its AI servers and stronger-than-expected quarterly results.

Dell said it received about $60.9 billion in AI server orders during the quarter, while its AI server backlog reached a record $95 billion.

The company reported $47 billion in total revenue, up 58% from a year earlier, while adjusted earnings rose to $7.04 per share.

Dell raised its full-year revenue forecast to $192 billion and expects AI-optimized server revenue to reach $74 billion as demand from data centers continues to grow, Yahoo Finance has reported.

The strong results highlight how the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure is becoming a major growth driver for Dell and helped send its stock higher in after-hours trading.
