An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday after overrunning the runway, killing at least five people and injuring five others. 

The Boeing 767, operated by 21 Air for Amazon, had arrived from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it struck several vehicles after leaving the runway and burst into flames.

More than 60 emergency-response units rushed to the scene as firefighters battled the blaze and rescued people from the wreckage.

The crash temporarily halted airport operations and caused widespread flight delays and cancellations as crews dealt with the accident, the AP has reported.

Federal investigators from the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are examining factors including the aircraft’s landing, speed, braking, weather conditions and possible mechanical issues to determine what caused the crash.
