A large construction rig collapsed onto three vehicles and a construction container in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, trapping two workers and causing a vehicle to catch fire.
Firefighters rescued the two trapped workers while simultaneously extinguishing the blaze caused by the collapse.
Four people, including the two workers, the rig operator and the driver of the BMW, were taken to hospitals with minor injuries.
All 18 construction workers at the site were accounted for, and officials said the incident occurred at the site of a planned Citadel headquarters, Fox News has reported.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the rig to collapse, and OSHA is investigating the incident.
