The U.S. military carried out a lethal strike on a vessel in the Caribbean on Sept. 19, saying the boat was involved in drug trafficking.

U.S. Southern Command said four alleged “narco-terrorists” were killed in the operation based on intelligence indicating the vessel was actively involved in trafficking.

The strike was part of a broader Trump administration campaign targeting vessels and networks allegedly connected to drug cartels.

According to SOUTHCOM, the campaign has involved at least 69 reported strikes and 231 deaths over roughly a year, Fox News has reported.

The military has also released footage of recent operations involving the interception, boarding and destruction of vessels it says are linked to drug trafficking organizations.
