Typhoon Dujuan left at least four people dead and 22 injured in Japan, while thousands of homes near Tokyo remained without power.

The storm moved away from Japan, allowing authorities to lift or downgrade most heavy rain and landslide warnings.

Search crews continued looking for six people missing after landslides caused by torrential rain.

More than 45,000 households in Chiba were without electricity, while hundreds of homes were damaged by the storm, AFP has reported.

Dujuan brought record rainfall to parts of the Tokyo area, with scientists warning that climate change is increasing the risk of extreme rainfall.
